Portage offers only the best—from smoked salmon and sustainably sourced caviar, to artisanal cheese and impeccably selected charcuterie. We work with local farmers, cheese mongers, fisherman and butchers to deliver the freshest products available straight to your door.

SHIPPING:

We strive to process orders as quickly as we possibly can. Orders placed by 12:00 Noon EST Monday through Wednesday will be processed for delivery within 48 hours. Under certain circumstances, it might be possible to accommodate requests for next-day delivery, if placed by 12:00 Noon EST. Please write orders@portagefoods.com to make such requests, and wait for a confirmation. Please note that during periods of high volume, it may take longer. Orders placed over the weekend are usually shipped Tuesday. Portage and our partner specialty shops only ship overnight UPS on Tuesdays & Wednesdays. We ship all items in insulated coolers with 72-hour ice packs. Shipping to New England, Mid-Atlantic and the Mid-West is $35.00. Shipping to the West Coast, Mountains, Texas & Florida is $45.00 for Overnight Delivery.

Next Day Delivery

All retail orders placed online are shipped overnight to your home or place of business after a 48 hour window for processing. Orders must be placed by 12 AM EST Wednesday for weekend delivery via UPS and Portage Foods. We deliver next day on Wednesday through Friday, excluding major holidays. There is no Saturday delivery. Please note: Saturday deliveries are not available in all areas across the United States.

Receiving Your Shipment

We recommend someone be home to receive the package. We have waived the required signature feature on all orders and will not be held responsible if no one is home and the package is left unattended.  In most cases, it is normal for our frozen products to partially or fully thaw in transit. Our products that require refrigeration are safe to enjoy as long as they arrive cool to the touch. If you have additional questions about the condition of your order please contact us at orders@portaegfoods.com. All damage or quality claims must be made on the day of delivery by emailing orders@portagefoods.com. Portage Foods is not responsible for orders that are damaged due to extreme seasonal temperatures, however we handle each inquiry on a case-by-case basis and are happy to assist you. Please note that claims will not be honored if not made on the day of delivery.

Shipping Costs

You may price out your shipping costs by using our online quote/order system, available in the Shopping Cart. After you make your selection from our catalog, you will be asked to provide the ship-to information. Delivery may not be available in all areas. We will call you if there is a problem with delivery in your area or if your package requires additional shipping costs due to your location.

Holiday Shipments

UPS deliveries are ordinarily made between the hours of 9:00 AM—5:30 PM. During major holidays later delivery times should be expected.

RECOVERY POLICY:

Missing Products

Since our customers pay before receiving the product, one of the biggest priorities is ensuring freshness and accuracy. That said, should you receive an order that is missing products you will need to contact us on the delivery date. An image of the product must be sent to orders@portagefoods.com in order to obtain a refund. This includes a picture of the packing slip (order number, name, product details) as well as the product. Once received, Portage Foods will conduct an internal investigation with our packing team before determining the refund amount. Should you share information regarding a mis-packed order after the delivery date, Portage Foods reserves the right to refuse a reshipment or refund. This discretion is up to Portage Foods.

Refund Details

  • To receive a refund, images of your package, your order number and a detailed explanation of what you received is required. We will only consider refunds should you contact us on the day of delivery. A reshipment is not guaranteed as this up to Portage Food’s discretion.

  • Customers who are qualified to receive credit can expect their refund within 15 days past order error outreach. The credit will be issued to the person listed in the billing section on the order. Full refunds can be issued prior to the ship date.
